The treatment time will take 20 or 30 minutes, plus additional time for preparation and aftercare.

To maximize the treatment outcome, a series of 4-6 treatments is recommended at 3-7 day intervals. You may require additional treatments depending on your condition and desired outcome, which will be discussed during your consultation.

Results will always vary depending on the desired effect, your age, physical condition and many other aspects. Some may notice minor improvements immediately after their first treatment, though the firming and tightening effects due to the stimulation of collagen and elastin fibres as well as improvements in muscle tone take time to occur, but are usually visible at 8-12 weeks after the last session.

Results are said to last 6-12 months, but just like going to the gym, if you stop your workouts or EM-LIFT FACE treatments your results will decrease over time.  Prevention is always better than cure, so a single maintenance treatment is recommended approximately every 4 weeks to maintain results. Drink plenty of water before your treatment to help the radiofrequency energy flow more effectively.

Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications and oral or topical steroid treatments for at least five days before your treatment.

It is recommended to arrive for your treatment with a clean face.

The treatment is completely painless and is quite relaxing. Adhesive applicators will be placed on the cheeks and forehead, and a grounding pad is attached your back for safe delivery of the radio frequency. The applicators deliver comfortable heat and electrical pulses that stimulate specific facial muscles. This may feel like vibrations, pulsing and varying degrees of muscle contraction that cause you to make odd facial expressions. The power is adjusted according to your tolerance levels and is usually increased as you become used to the procedure. Some people may feel sensation in their teeth, but it’s not uncomfortable and often subsides.

There is always the possibility for side effects, however they are uncommon and minimal. You may experience mild redness, swelling, dryness and tenderness in the treatment area but should disappear within a few days at the most.

There is no downtime or aftercare required. However an active skincare routine is recommended to assist in the overall health and appearance of the skin and will be recommended during your initial consultation.
